We have arrived in Guatemala!  Philip, the PC-USA missionary who is our host, met us at the airport to drive us to the Central Presbyterian Church in Guatemala City.  We were given a very warm reception at the Central Church by Pastor Jenner and several elders.  We had a very nice lunch and met the youth from the Central Church who will be traveling with us to Chajul.

The drive from Guatemala City to Chichicastenango was relatively uneventful and we saw some of the beautiful mountains and a lake surrounded by several volcanoes.  We arrived at the Santo Tomas Hotel and had a great dinner.  Everyone was exhausted from the long day and turned in early to get some rest for the four plus hour drive to Chajul this morning to attend a welcoming service.
